TOUR Description
Visit one of the most amazing wonders of the natural world. Sea Turtles travel up to 2000 miles to lay their eggs every year in the exact same place where they were born. Playa Hermosa is a huge nesting site for turtles and the Refugio Nacional collects and releases thousands of baby turtles every year. This is a beautiful experience. Check with the locals to see what time the releasing will be on any given day (it changes every day) and see to see if anyone else in the area is going to visit the Refuge. Turtle nesting is a seasonal event, so check with your booking agent to assure that it is a good time of the year to see turtles nesting or hatching.
